Take it to the trails
The uvex i-vo cc helmet performs superbly in all situations, whether you ride a road bike or take to the trails. Available in two shell sizes. The practical uvex IAS fit system enables the helmet to be custom-fitted to every head shape. The bike helmet is ready for the uvex triangle LED. The attached visor can be removed. 24 ventilation channels guarantee a perfect climate management. In comparison to his smaller brother uvex i-vo c, the uvex i-vo cc bike helmet has a specially designed matt styling. High tech vent pads support your everyday wearing comfort and help you to reach your goals.
How does the uvex IAS system work on the uvex i-vo cc helmet? (IAS=individual adapting system)
The IAS system is a size adjustment system which can be used to adapt the cycling helmet individually to any head shape. The free-floating design of the ring system provides optimum adjustment, simple use, and maximum ventilation. The setting is made with the wheel located on the back of the cycling helmet – clockwise to make the helmet tighter, counterclockwise to make it looser.
How do I care for my cycling helmet properly?
Please remove the comfort cushions in the IAS system and in the cycling helmet. These can be washed with a mild detergent at 30°C. Dry the comfort cushions at room temperature. The cycling helmet should be cleaned with lukewarm water and a mild soap solution. Do not use solvents (e.g. paint thinner).
How often should I replace my cycling helmet?
All components of a helmet are subject to ageing, depending on handling, maintenance, and degree of wear, which depends on the intensity of use and the specific conditions of use.
Under optimum storage conditions (cool, dry, protected from daylight; no contact with chemicals; no mechanical crushing, pressure, or stress) and without use, the maximum lifetime is 8 years following the indicated date of production. This should not be exceeded in use, even if the product is in a visually good condition.
For reasons of safety, we recommend our helmets are replaced 3-5 years after initial use, depending on the intensity of use.
You can find the date of manufacture either as a calendar clock or as a sticker on the inside of the helmet. The year of manufacture is at the centre of the calendar clock. The arrow points to the month of manufacture
